“I first started making sausages at home when my eldest daughter Lianna was 3
My daughter loved them so much she kept asking for more, this was the spark of an idea, to take production to the next level, to make sausages with fresh Herbs & Spices, and only using lean, locally sourced free-range meats. Noticing my interest, my parents surprised me with a professional sausage production course for my birthday
After making what seemed like hundreds of sausages, I gained real confidence and a greater understanding of the potential for growth. After a few weeks, friends were asking if they could buy my sausages. Word spread, and in another couple of weeks my work colleagues were asking. My sausages were obviously tasty!
The next step was to register with all the relevant professional food preparation, handling, production & retail bodies. I upped my production even further by developing my own range of sausages using all natural flavourings. I also introduced my own artisan burgers, again, to the same exacting standards
Expanding into to a friend’s purpose-built butchery and food preparation facilities on their farm was a serious commitment to my belief in our carefully crafted Sausages & Burgers
